Tractor Supply’s T-shirt fundraiser elevates key FFA programs

In support of the largest youth organization in the world, Tractor Supply has dedicated its stores across the country to supply limited-edition National FFA Convention & Expo graphic T-shirts. For the past six years, Tractor Supply has supported the National FFA Organization through this fundraiser — distributing the funds garnered to agricultural programs, activities, students, and alumni across the country.

Since the launch of this fundraiser in 2015, Tractor Supply has raised almost $2 million in FFA-themed T-shirt sales to support the organization’s mission and vision for its local FFA chapters.

Tractor Supply’s vision has long aligned with their service to the youth organization. Founded in 1938 as a small, yet successful retail store in Minot, North Dakota, Tractor Supply commits themselves to being a dependable supplier of home, land, pet and animal products at affordable prices. Along with this, they also believe in the development of others, embracing change, and looking for opportunity. Even though general in nature, Tractor Supply has applied this vision toward creating a strong and future-focused partnership with the National FFA Organization.

Proceeds are specifically being funneled to four FFA programs within the National FFA Organization that will improve their memberships inclusivity efforts. They are: Living to Serve Grants, Alumni Legacy Grants, New Farmers of America Archives, and the Give the Gift of Blue Project.

“The National FFA Convention & Expo is celebrating its 95th annual event, and we are very proud to help celebrate with our exclusive Tractor Supply T-shirt,” shared Kimberley Gardiner, Chief Marketing Officer of Tractor Supply. “This year’s T-shirt fundraiser will support FFA members and chapters in need and fund a FFA Program working to resurface a lost history of agriculture in the U.S.”

Including these funding opportunities, Tractor Supply also graciously supported a chapter in need to attend the 95th National FFA Convention and Expo. After not foreseeing meeting their fundraising goal to attend the convention, East Wake High School in Wendell, North Carolina, was sad that they might not be able to attend the 95th National FFA Convention and Expo this year. After a tour of their local Tractor Supply and career talk, they were surprised by the district and store manager with a fully funded trip to convention, plus duffle bags and hats.

Sponsorships, such as East Wake High School’s, speaks to Tractor Supply’s long commitment to the organization and its local chapters. Since 1985, Tractor Supply has been a proud partner of FFA-raising over $12 million for the youth organization.

“The Tractor Supply Foundation is committed to serving our local communities when they need support,” says Marti Skold-Jordan, the manager of Tractor Supply Company’s foundation. “We are thrilled to provide these students with an inspiring opportunity to learn and the FFA Convention gives them that.”

Tractor Supply also knows that their T-shirt fundraiser inspires curiosity of their customers about the annual National FFA Convention and Expo and the National FFA Organization.

Tractor Supply now operates in over 2,000 stores in 49 different states across the nation, each supporting local FFA chapters and sporting the 2022 National FFA Convention T-shirt. Being an owner of a few Tractor Supply National FFA Convention T-shirts, the shirt has been comfortable, long sleeved for the colder seasons, and sporting a fun, eye-catching logo.

So even if you have been a decades long supporter of the FFA, or a first time customer at Tractor Supply looking for a long-sleeve shirt to keep you warm in the winter, we all can be apart of financially supporting the future of American Agriculture by financially supporting the 95th National FFA Convention and Expo T-shirt fundraiser. Fundraiser is through the end of October, so hurry to your local Tractor Supply to support today!

The 95th National FFA Convention and Expo takes place from October 26th-29th, 2022 in Indianapolis, Indiana. For more information on the convention and expo, please visit the 95th National FFA Convention website.

For more information on the fundraiser and Tractor Supply’s support of FFA, you can find Tractor Supply Facebook, Instagram, and elsewhere.

Bre Holbert is a past National FFA President and studied agriculture science and education at California State-Chico. “Two ears to listen is better than one mouth to speak. Two ears allow us to affirm more people, rather than letting our mouth loose to damage people’s story by speaking on behalf of others.”
