DYNAMIC LED GROW LIGHTS TO SUPPORT NEW RESEARCH

Montréal, Québec, Canada, March 2, 2022  On the heels of successful initial studies playing with dynamic spectra, The Chef’s Garden, located in Ohio, has substantially expanded their research operations under Sollum’s dynamic LED grow light solution.

CEO Bob Jones Jr. and the rest of the team at The Chef’s Garden know better than anyone the power of merging natural solutions with innovative ones. “Our goal at The Chef’s Garden has always been to provide fresh produce that looks good, tastes good, is good for you and is grown cleanly with sustainable methods” says Jones. “Both our restaurant and home delivery partners demand high quality and the solution that Sollum Technologies has provided for us in our growing system helps us in attaining all of these attributes.”

The expansion is a giant leap forward made possible thanks to the success of earlier studies using Sollum’s smart LED lighting solution. “The Chef’s Garden has been growing quickly and exploring new and exciting avenues for their business” says Marco Lafond, vice-president, Client Operations at Sollum. “Growing alongside these endeavors are their research aspirations for which our lights play a major role. We could not be more pleased to be a part of the Chef’s Garden’s journey, which aligns with our vision to revolutionize horticultural lighting.”

About The Chef’s Garden
The Chef’s Garden has been delivering specialty products with optimum shelf life, quality, flavor and nutrition direct from the farm to the world’s most discriminating chefs for nearly 30 years. Under the guidance of Lee Jones, and Bob Jones, Jr., we employ traditional farming methods combined with innovative technology to stay on the leading edge of the produce business. Even though the farm was built on a foundation of traditional farming methods that have served our grandfathers well for decades, we are also focused on perpetually innovating and developing new products that help us remain the leading grower of artisanal produce in the nation and serve to foster a deep and abiding relationship of respect and collaboration with the chefs that we work with throughout the world. About Sollum Technologies
Inspired by nature, Sollum Technologies was founded in 2015 to offer greenhouse growers the only smart LED lighting solution which dynamically recreates, perfects, and modulates the full spectrum of the Sun’s natural light. The company is based in Montréal (Québec, Canada), where its design, development, and manufacturing activities are concentrated. Sollum™ works closely with its clients and research centers to create recipes that are adapted to the growth cycle of each crop, regardless of its native climate or the location of the greenhouse. Its SUN as a Service® cloud platform enables multi-zone light management so growers can implement several different recipes simultaneously in the same greenhouse. The platform also automatically adapts the lighting of each zone to the ambient light to match recipe targets. Sollum’s award-winning lighting solution thereby provides unparalleled value in terms of energy savings, productivity, and superior produce quality through a flexible, adaptive, and easy-to-use application, with great respect for the environment.
