Terry Bradshaw’s Oklahoma ranch back on the market

Back in 2019, there was lots of buzz about the Oklahoma ranch of iconic Pittsburg Steeler player and broadcaster Terry Bradshaw going up for sale. However, the prospective buyer who was attempting to acquire the ranch failed to close on the transaction — which means the 744-acre state-of-the-art equine breeding facility, cattle facility, and recreational ranch is back on the market.

Let me just dig around in my jeans pocket for that $22.5 million asking price.

The property and facilities in Thackerville, Oklahoma, about an hour from Dallas and Fort Worth, are a turnkey-ready proposition for a major equestrian player in the horse business or continued use as a cattle or private recreational ranch, said Icon Global Group, the company that is handling the sale. The property is punctuated by an 8,600-square-foot main house, as well as eight lakes and ponds.

“As of today, the entire ranch is back on the market, and it’s now not a matter of if it will sell, but to whom,” the property company said.

The Terry Bradshaw Quarter Horses Ranch is made up primarily of improved grasses with a gradual elevation change. While the ranch is famous for its connection to Bradshaw and his wife, Tammy, it was also the filming location for the E Television series The Bradshaw Bunch.

“Tammy and I are both sad to leave this great big ranch and our wonderful home which has been our idyllic retreat of so many years, however, it is time that we slowed down a little, freeing us up to travel more, as well as enjoy new grandchildren, family, and other interests,” Bradshaw said. He and his wife have already moved to a new home on a smaller farm in Texas, where they will continue the Bradshaw Quarter Horse business, utilizing prized stallions along with about 30 mares.

So, what can you expect to see on a tour? Here’s the overview:

  • Overlooks the Red River
  • Main house has six bedrooms, a large pool, and a 1,000-square-foot outdoor patio with full kitchen
  • Equestrian improvements include a four-stall stallion barn, a 20-stall show barn, a 50-stall mare barn, a 20-stall weanling bard, a state-of-the-art breeding facility, and a 75-by-140-foot covered arena.
  • Six-bay equipment and implement shop and barn
  • Working cattle pens
  • Riding trails throughout the property

So, who’s ready for an upgrade?
