Measuring Soil Health: Where are we now?

As part of the Soil Health Nexus Digital Coffee Shop Series, Dr. Jordon Wade, who is an Assistant Teacher of Soil Health at the University of Missouri and the Director of the Soil Health Evaluation Center provides “Measuring Soil Health: Where are we now?”. This discussion was initially relayed on January 19, 2022.

Dependably determining soil health is necessary for identifying proper management methods. Present structures for translating soil health signs can be hard to operationalize. How can we utilize soil health signs to notify on-farm management? This talk is a check-in on our present structures and how trusted they are (or aren’t) in making management choices.
