The Lockeford Plant Products Center is a 106-acre center situated in the Central Valley of California. It has to do with an hour southeast of the state’s capitol, Sacramento, and is the only plant products in the state. The center offers plant services for the varied California landscape and serves the Mediterranean environment parts of California. A few of the activities throughout 2021 consisted of reports on warm season cover crops, insectary plantings and soil health.
2 outreach occasions including pollinators were hosted in the fall, consisting of a management day for regional high school trainees. This consisted of a “hands-on” part with trainees planting seasonal types made use of as nectary plants by emperor butterflies and other pollinators at the plant products center.
