Recently we were up in North Canterbury at a clients place to look at the impact of implementing a biological soil program. He has been using sustainable fertilisers for a number of years and included EM in his program for the past season. It has been a dry 2 seasons but he is now starting to reap the benefits of his soil program as some recent rainfall has shown how quickly the soil can bounce back. It was while looking around the farm that I noticed the huge difference in the fence line and the state of the pasture on his side fo the fence compared with this next door neighbour. His farm is much greener and the pasture was much more dense. The pictures below give you a good comparison and show the benefits of stimulating soil biology and feeding it with the right nutrients including improving water holding capacity and plant health and vitality.
