Green machines dominate equipment auction

The top five items sold on Dec. 14 were pieces of John Deere machinery

A Dec. 14 BigIron auction had buyers spending and seeing green as the five pieces of equipment to receive the highest bids that day were painted with John Deere’s shade of green.

Out of the 3,233 items sold that day, a John Deere tractor sold for the highest price.

The 2014 John Deere 8345R from Plainview, Neb., sold for US$263,000 (CAD$360,075) to a buyer from Iowa after 232 bids.

A 2017 John Deere S670 2WD combine from Plainview, Neb. sold for US$239,000 (CAD$327,189) to a buyer from Iowa after 204 bids.
