Caterpillar dozer sells for highest price during equipment auction

A bulldozer sold for the highest price during a recent equipment auction.

The 2012 Caterpillar D6T XL originally from Wickenburg, Ariz., sold for US$161,250 (CAD$212,694) after 335 bids during a Sept. 14 BigIron auction featuring 1,932 items.

Specs: 7,363 hours, CAT, Diesel, Water Cooled Engine, Single Exhausts, Power Shift Transmission, Tracked, Hydraulic Brakes, Skid Steering, 22″ Steel Single Grouser Pads Tracks, Work Lights Front / Work Lights Rear / Service Area Lights / Cab Lights, Front Blade PAT 12’ Wide X 50” Tall, Rear Multi Shank (3-barrel) Ripper, Bolt On Replaceable Edge With Bolt On Replaceable End Bits, Enclosed Cab W/Sound Proofing And Dual Doors, Heater, AC, Radio, AC - Heater - Radio - Dual Doors - Hinged Windows, Power Angle Tilt Blade / Rear Multi Shank Ripper.

A 2009 John Deere 9530 4WD tractor from Weiner, Ariz., sold for US$90,000 (CAD$118,713) to a buyer from the same state after 261 bids.

A 2005 Caterpillar 140H motor grader from Edgerton, Wyo., sold for US$82,000 (CAD$108,160) to a buyer from South Dakota after 103 bids.
