Clothing retailer Betacraft has launched a new range of workwear that is made from a host of recycled materials.
Each garment in the new Eco range – which includes parka coats and over-trousers – is produced with up to 25 recycled plastic bottles and 1-2kg of waste yarn.
This is sourced from items such as discarded fishing nets and unwanted clothing.

The range is available in sizes from XS to 5XL, with both men’s and women’s options.
It is apparently “true to its New Zealand roots” by being designed for extreme weather conditions and outdoor working.
This includes a high waterproof rating and rip-stop fabric to stop nicks from barbed wire fencing.
The firm says that, along with using recycled fabrics and organic fibres in its new range, it will also be swapping out plastic packaging in favour of low-density polyethylene or corn starch options.
