Daera has announced a £1m rural business development aid fund to help micro-businesses sustain, develop and recover from Covid-19 will open next month.

The grant scheme is funded through Daera’s Tackling Rural Poverty and Social Isolation programme and will be delivered in partnership with local councils.

The total project must not exceed £20,000 and must clearly address an issue of rural poverty and/or social isolation.

The funding will also provide the opportunity for some businesses to increase innovation activity and improve their efficiency.
